Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Oil Pollution) (Pitcairn) (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 23rd April 1998.

Section 2

In the sections 166(1) and 177(1) set out in the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Oil Pollution) (Pitcairn) Order 1997 the words “damage done to a ship” shall be replaced by the words “damage done by a ship”.
