Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Coventry Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 18th May 1998.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

For Article 3 of the Coventry Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1994 there shall be substituted the following Article:—

Nature and functions of the trust

(3) The trust’s functions (which include functions which the Secretary of State considers appropriate in relation to the provision of services by the trust for one or more Health Authorities) shall be—

(a) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act Parkside House, Quinton Road, Coventry CV1 2NJ, and associated hospitals, establishments or facilities, and there to provide hospital accommodation and services;

(b) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act Gulson Hospital, Gulson Road, Coventry CV1 2HR, and associated premises and there to provide community health services; and

(c) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act:

(i) Coventry Mental Health Unit, Clifford Bridge Road, Walsgrave, Coventry CV2 2TE, and

(ii) 121 Hollyfast Road, Coundon, Coventry CV6 2AE,

and there to provide hospital accommodation and services
