Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Rotherham Priority Health Services National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 15th May 1998.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

For Article 3 of the Rotherham Priority Health Services National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992 there shall be substituted the following Article:—

Nature and functions of the trust

(3) The trust’s functions (which include functions which the Secretary of State considers appropriate in relation to the provision of services by the trust for one or more Health Authorities) shall be—

(a) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act Priority Health Service Units, Rotherham District General Hospital, Moorgate Road, Rotherham S60 2UD and associated hospitals, establishments or facilities, and there to provide hospital accommodation and services;

(b) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act the Medium Secure Unit, Wathwood Hospital, Gypsy Green Lane, Wath upon Dearne, Rotherham S63 6HJ, and there to provide hospital accommodation and services;

(c) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act Priority Health Services Headquarters, Doncaster Gate Hospital, Doncaster Gate, Rotherham S65 1DW and associated premises, and from there to provide community health services; and

(d) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act Swallownest Court, Aughton Road, Swallownest, Rotherham S31 0TH, and there to provide community health services.
