This Order may be cited as the Black Country Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 19th May 1998.

The Black Country Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998
For Article 3 of the Black Country Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1994 there shall be substituted the following Article:—
Nature and functions of the trust
(3)
(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.
(2) The trust’s functions shall be—
(a) to own and manage pursuant to 5(1)(a) of the Act Edward Street Hospital, Edward Street, West Bromwich, West Midlands B70 8NL and Heath Lane Hospital, Heath Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands B71 2BQ and there to provide hospital accommodation and services;
(b) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act Hallam Street Hospital, Hallam Street, West Bromwich, West Midlands B71 4HU and there to provide hospital accommodation and services; and
(c) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act 48 Lodge Road, West Bromwich, West Midlands B70 8NY and associated premises and from there to provide community health services.
