Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemption) (Harlow District Council) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 24th February 1998.

Section 2 Exemption of grounds maintenance

The maintenance of ground by Harlow District Council shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it consists of work carried out during the period beginning with 24th February 1998 and ending with 31st March 2000 pursuant to arrangements made under section 3 of the Disabled Persons (Employment) Act 1958 (provision of sheltered employment by local authorities) .
