Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Enfield Community Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 1st June 1998.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

For Article 3 of the Enfield Community Care National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992 there shall be substituted the following Article:—

Nature and functions of the trust

(3) The trust’s functions (which include functions which the Secretary of State considers appropriate in relation to the provision of services by the trust for one or more Health Authorities) shall be—

(a) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act Community Premises, Chase Farm Hospital, The Ridgway, Enfield, Middlesex EN2 8JL and associated hospitals, and there to provide hospital accommodation and community health services; and

(b) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act, the Oaks and Elms, Highlands Village, Pennington Drive, Winchmore Hill, London N21 1PN, and from there to provide community services.
