Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Greenwich Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 19th June 1998.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

In the Greenwich Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992 :—

(a) for Article 3 there shall be substituted the following Article:—

Nature and functions of the trust

(3) The trust’s functions (which include functions which the Secretary of State considers appropriate in relation to the provision of services by the trust for one or more Health Authorities) shall be—

(a) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act the premises specified in Part I of the Schedule to this Order, and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services;

(b) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act the premises specified in Part II of the Schedule to this Order, and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services;

(c) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act the premises specified in Part III of the Schedule to this Order, and there to provide and manage community health services; and

(d) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act the premises specified in Part IV of the Schedule to this Order, and there to provide and manage community health services.

(b) at the end there shall be added the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order.
