Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Electrical Equipment for Explosive Atmospheres (Certification) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1st August 1998.

(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations ” means the Electrical Equipment for Explosive Atmospheres (Certification) Regulations 1990 .

Section 2Amendment to the principal Regulations

In regulation 12A(5) of the principal Regulations, for the words “before 30th September 1998” there shall be substituted the words “before 1st October 1998”.
