Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) (No. 4) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 21st July 1998.

Section 2 Designation of public bodies

Each of the following, being a person appearing to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and to the Secretary of State for Wales to be exercising functions of a public nature, shall be a public body for the purposes of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970 in its application to England and Wales:

Community Initiative Partnerships

Hounslow Cultural and Community Services

Hounslow Sport and Recreation Services.

Section 3 Restrictions on agreements

Agreements which may be entered into by virtue of this Order by the bodies named in article 2 above shall be restricted to agreements with the council of the London Borough of Hounslow for the provision of administrative, professional or technical services by that authority to those bodies, in connection with the provision or management of leisure activities by those bodies within that authority’s area.
