Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979 Statutory Sum Order 1998 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2Statutory sum for the purposes of the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979
For the purposes of section 1 (1A) of the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979 the statutory sum is £40,000.
Section 3Revocation
The Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979 Statutory Sum Order 1991 is hereby revoked.
