Section 1

(1) This Order may be cited as the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act (Amendment to Schedule 2) Order 1998.
(2) This Order shall come into force on 1st January 1999.
(3) This Order does not extend to Northern Ireland.

Section 2

At the end of Schedule 2 to the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 (animals to be obtained only from designated breeding or supplying establishments) , there shall be added—
Ferret
Gerbil
Pig, if genetically modified
Sheep, if genetically modified
