Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Noise Insulation (Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on the tenth day after the day on which they are made.

Section 2Amendment of the Noise Insulation (Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems) Regulations 1996
The Noise Insulation (Railways and Other Guided Transport Systems) Regulations 1996 shall be amended by the insertion in paragraph (1) of regulation 9 after the words “ Calculation of Railway Noise 1995 ” of the words “and the supplement to that technical memorandum entitled Calculation of Railway Noise 1995 (Supplement 1) ”.
