Section 1Title and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Upper Thames Tributaries) Designation (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 1st September 1998.

Section 2Title and commencement

The Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Upper Thames Tributaries) Designation Order 1994 shall be amended in Article 7(5) by the substitution, for “£3”, of “£3.50”.

Section 3Saving

Article 2 of this Order shall not have effect for the purposes of any annual payment to a farmer which relates wholly or in part to any period before 1st September 1998.
