The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1998

Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (Commencement No. 1) Order 1998.

Section 2

The following provisions of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 shall come into force on the day after the day on which this Order is made:

(a) section 41, for the purpose of making appointments under that section and under paragraph 1 of Schedule 2;

(b) section 49, for the purpose of making rules which make such provision as is mentioned in subsection (2) of that section;

(c) section 114;

(d) sections 116 and 117; and

(e) paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 2, for the purpose of making appointments under section 41 and paragraph 1 of that Schedule.

Section 3

Section 84 of, and paragraph 9 of Schedule 9 to, the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 shall come into force on the seventh day after the day on which this Order is made.
