Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemption) (Derwentside and Wyre Forest District Councils) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 17th September 1998.

Section 2Exemptions of management of sports and leisure facilities
(1) The management of sports and leisure facilities by the council of the district of Derwentside shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is carried out within that district during the period beginning with 17th September 1998 and ending on 31st March 1999.
(2) The management of sports and leisure facilities by the council of the district of Wyre Forest shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is carried out within that district during the period beginning with 1st October 1998 and ending on 31st March 2000.
