This Order may be cited as the Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) (No. 2) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 1st October 1998.

The Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) (No. 2) Order 1998
For the purposes of section 31(3) of the Gaming Act 1968 (which provides for the maximum charge for playing a game once by means of a machine to which Part III of that Act applies on licensed or registered premises) there shall be specified the sum of 50p.
Subsections (5C) and (5D) of section 34 of the Gaming Act 1968 (which specify the maximum amount which may be offered as a prize in respect of any one game played by means of a cash-only machine) shall have effect as if, for the sum of £10 specified in those subsections, there were substituted the sum of £15.
Article 2 of the Gaming Act (Variation of Monetary Limits) (No. 2) Order 1997 is hereby revoked.
