Section 1 Title and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Exmoor) Designation (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 16th October 1998.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order, “the principal Order ” means the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Exmoor) Designation Order 1993 .

Section 3 Amendment of the principal Order

The principal Order shall have effect as if, in article 2 of the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Exmoor) Designation (Amendment) Order 1998 , for the words “the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Exmoor) Designation (Amendment) Order 1993” there were substituted “the Environmentally Sensitive Areas (Exmoor) Designation Order 1993”.

Section 4 Amendment of the principal Order

In Schedule 1 to the principal Order (capital activities), for the words “Fencing associated with the exclusion of stock under the woodland tier” there shall be substituted “Fencing associated with the exclusion of stock in woodland”.

Section 5 Amendment of the principal Order

In Part I of Schedule 2 to the principal Order (management activities), with respect to the rate of payment specified in respect of item 14 (hedgerow management), for “£24 per metre” in column 2 there shall be substituted “£0.24 per metre”.
