Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Direct Service Organisations) (Accounts etc.) (Extension) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 30th September 1998.

(2) In this Order, “the principal Order ” means the Local Government Act 1988 (Direct Service Organisations) (Accounts etc.) (Extension) (Wales) Order 1997 .

Section 2Amendment of the principal Order

In article 3 (application of Part I of the Local Government Act 1988 during transitional period) of the principal Order for “31st May 1999” substitute “31st May 2000”.

Section 3Revocation

The Local Government Act 1988 (Direct Service Organisations) (Accounts etc.) (Extension) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 1997 is revoked.
