Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Water Undertakers (Extension of Byelaws) Order 1998 shall come into force on 25th September 1998.

Section 2 Extension of water byelaws

The byelaws listed in column (2) of the Schedule and made by, or having effect as if made by, the water undertakers listed in column (1) of the Schedule under section 17 of the Water Act 1945 (prevention of waste of water etc. ) shall remain in force until 31st December 1999.

Section 3 Revocation

The following Orders are hereby revoked–

The Water Undertakers (Extension of Byelaws) Order 1997 ; and

The South East Water Limited (Extension of Byelaws) Order 1997 .
