Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the East Yorkshire Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 19th October 1998.

Section 2 Amendment of NHS trust Establishment Order

For article 3 of the East Yorkshire Hospitals National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992 (functions of the trust) there shall be substituted the following article–

Nature and functions of the Trust

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions (which include functions which the Secretary of State considers appropriate in relation to the provision of services by the trust for one or more Health Authorities) shall be to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act the following premises:

Castle Hill Hospital, Castle Road, Cottingham, HU16 5JQ;

Westwood Hospital, Woodland Drive, Beverley, HU17 8BU; and any associated premises,

and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services.
