Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Transfer of Prisoners (Isle of Man) (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 18th December 1998.

Section 2

(1) The Transfer of Prisoners (Isle of Man) ( No. 2) Order 1997 is amended as follows.

(2) In article 2, for the words from “subject to” onwards substitute “subject to the amendment made to paragraph 6(3) by paragraph 135(2)(b) of Schedule 8 to the Crime and Disorder Act 1998, and to the modifications and supplementary provisions specified in the Schedule to this Order”.

(3) For the sidenote after paragraph 7 of the Schedule substitute “Supplementary provisions”.

Section 3

Paragraph 9 of the Schedule to the Transfer of Prisoners (Isle of Man) (No. 2) Order 1997 is hereby revoked.
