Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Herefordshire Community Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 7th December 1998.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

For article 3 of the Herefordshire Community Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1991 (nature and functions of the trust) there shall be substituted the following article:–

Nature and functions of the trust

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1)(b) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions (which include functions which the Secretary of State considers appropriate in relation to the provision of services by the trust for one or more Health Authorities) shall be to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act Belmont Abbey, Belmont, Hereford HR2 9RP and associated hospitals and establishments, and there and from there to provide and manage community health services.
