Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemption) (Lichfield District Council) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 30th December 1998.

Section 2Exemption of sports and leisure facilities management and other catering
The management of sports and leisure facilities and other catering by the Council of the District of Lichfield shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is carried out–
(a) at the Burntwood Leisure Centre; and
(b) during the period beginning with 30th December 1998 and ending immediately before 1st April 2001.
Section 3Revocation of Order
The Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemption) (Lichfield District Council) Order 1997 is hereby revoked.
