Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Electricity Supply (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1st February 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of the Electricity Supply Regulations 1988

(1) Regulation 3(1) of the Electricity Supply Regulations 1988 shall be amended as follows.

(2) In the definition of “British Standard Requirements”, for the words following the words “as amended by Amendment No. 1, 1994 (AMD 8536)” substitute–

and further amended by Amendment No. 2, 1997 (AMD 9781) and published (as amended) by the Institution of Electrical Engineers in 1997 in London ( ISBN 0 85296 927 9, 1997);
