Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1988 (Defined Activities) (Exemption) (Poole Borough Council) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 6th January 1999.

Section 2Exemption of sports and leisure facilities management

The management of sports and leisure facilities by the council of the borough of Poole shall not be treated as a defined activity so long as it is carried out–
(a) at the Dolphin Swimming Pool, Kingsland Road, Poole, Dorset; and
(b) during the period beginning with 6th January 1999 and ending immediately before 1st October 2000.
