Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) (Public Bodies) (No. 6) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 6th January 1999.

Section 2 Designation as a public body

London Luton Airport Operations Limited (“the Company”), being a person appearing to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and to the Secretary of State for Wales to be exercising functions of a public nature, shall be a public body for the purposes of the Local Authorities (Goods and Services) Act 1970 in its application to England and Wales.

Section 3 Restriction on agreements

Agreements which may be entered into by the Company by virtue of this Order shall be restricted to those for the provision of administrative, professional or technical services by the Council of the Borough of Luton for the Company.
