Section 1 Title and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Potatoes Originating in The Netherlands (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 18th December 1998.

Section 2 Amendment of the Potatoes Originating in The Netherlands Regulations 1997

(1) The Potatoes Originating in The Netherlands Regulations 1997 shall be amended in accordance with the following paragraphs of this regulation.

(2) In regulation 3 (interpretation) for the definition of “originating in The Netherlands” there shall be substituted–

“originating in The Netherlands” means grown in 1998 in The Netherlands;

(3) In regulation 4(3)–

(a) for the words “before the commencement of these Regulations” there shall be substituted the words “before the commencement of the Potatoes Originating in The Netherlands (Amendment) Regulations 1998”; and

(b) for the words “31st October 1997” there shall be substituted the words “31st December 1998”.

(4) In regulation 4(4)–

(a) for the words “before the commencement of these Regulations” there shall be substituted the words “before the commencement of the Potatoes Originating in The Netherlands (Amendment) Regulations 1998”; and

(b) for the words “31st October 1997” there shall be substituted the words “31st December 1998”.

(5) In regulation 6(1) (charges in respect of the sampling of imports of seed potatoes) for the words “a fee of £116” there shall be substituted the words “a fee of £118”.
