Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Births, Deaths, Marriages and Divorces (Fees) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1st April 1999.

(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations ” means the Births, Deaths, Marriages and Divorces (Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 1998 .

Section 2 Amendment of the principal Regulations

In the first entry in column 2 of Part III of Schedule 1 to the principal Regulations (recording of name, or change of name or surname or alternative name) for the amount specified in column 4 of that Part there shall be substituted “36.00”.

Section 3 Amendment of the principal Regulations

In the second entry in column 2 of Schedule 3 to the principal Regulations (civil marriage ceremony) for the amount specified in column 4 there shall be substituted “45.00”.
