Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Local Authorities Etc. (Allowances) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 14th January 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of Regulations

The Local Authorities Etc. (Allowances) (Scotland) Regulations 1995 shall be amended in accordance with regulations 3 to 5 below.

Section 3 Amendment of Regulations

In regulation 20–

(a) in paragraph (a), for “£23.58” there shall be substituted “£24.29”; and

(b) in each of paragraphs (b) and (c), for “£47.16” there shall be substituted “£48.57”.

Section 4 Amendment of Regulations

In regulation 21, for “£27.70” there shall be substituted “£28.53”.

Section 5 Amendment of Regulations

In column (2) of Schedule 2–

(a) for “6,344” there shall be substituted “6,534”;

(b) for “5,815” there shall be substituted “5,989”; and

(c) for “5,286” there shall be substituted “5,445”.

Section 6 Revocation

The Local Authorities Etc. (Allowances) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1997 are hereby revoked.
