Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Financial Assistance for Environmental Purposes (No. 4) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 27th January 1999.

Section 2Variation of section 153(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990

In section 153(1) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (purposes for which financial assistance may be given), the following paragraph shall be inserted after paragraph (hh) :–

(ii) the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the North East Atlantic.
