Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Area Tourist Boards Amending Scheme (Scotland) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 5th March 1998.

Section 2 Amending scheme

The scheme set out in the Schedule to this Order shall have effect.

Section 1

(1) The scheme set out in the Schedule to each Order listed in paragraph 3 below shall be amended in accordance with paragraph 2 below.

Section 2

In paragraph 8(2)–

(a) at the end of sub-paragraph (b) delete “and”; and

(b) after sub-paragraph (b) insert–

(ba) to borrow such sums as it may require;

(bb) to grant security over its assets in respect of obligations incurred by it; and

(bc) to grant guarantees for obligations (arising out of loans or otherwise) incurred by other persons or grant indemnities; and
