Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Wireless Telegraphy (Television Licence Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1st April 1998.

(2) In these Regulations “the 1997 Regulations ” means the Wireless Telegraphy (Television Licence Fees) Regulations 1997 .

Section 2 Amendment of 1997 Regulations

(1) The 1997 Regulations shall be amended as follows:

(a) in Schedule 2—

(i) for “£30.50” in each place where it occurs there shall be substituted “£32.50”;

(ii) for “£91.50” in each place where it occurs there shall be substituted “£97.50”;

(b) in entry 1 in Schedule 3—

(i) for “£24.14” there shall be substituted “£25.64”;

(ii) for“£24.12” there shall be substituted “£25.62”; and

(c) in entry 3 in Schedule 3—

(i) for “£4.00” there shall be substituted “£3.75”;

(ii) for “£3.50” there shall be substituted “£3.75”.

(2) The 1997 Regulations shall be further amended by substituting for entry 2 in Schedule 3 the entry set out in the Schedule to this Order.
