Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles Registration Fee Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1th April 1998.

The Road Vehicles Registration Fee Regulations 1998
Section 2Fee for registration of a mechanically propelled vehicle
(1) A vehicle, which is note a vehicle falling within paragraph (2) below, shall not be registered under section 22 of the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 1994 unless a fee of £25 has been paid to the Secretary of State.
(2) Paragraph (1) does not apply to a vehicle which is an exempt vehicle by virtue of paragraph 18 or 19 of Schedule 2 to that Act.
