Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Forestry (Exceptions from Restrictions of Felling) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1st April 1998.

Section 2

Subject to regulation 3 below, the Forestry (Exceptions from Restriction of Felling) Regulations 1979 shall be further amended by omitting regulation 4(6).

Section 3

Regulation 2 above shall not apply in relation to the felling of trees in accordance with a plan of operations approved by the Forestry Commissioners as part of an agreement between the Commissioners and an applicant for participation in the Woodland Grant Scheme entered into before the date of coming into force of these Regulations.

Section 4

The Forestry (Exceptions from Restriction of Felling) (Amendment) Regulations 1988 are revoked.
