Section 1 Citation

This Order may be cited as the Local Government and Rating Act 1997 (Commencement No. 4) Order 1998.

Section 2 Commencement of minor and consequential amendments and repeals

The following provisions of the Local Government and Rating Act 1997 shall come into force on 18th March 1998—

(a) section 33, in so far as it relates to the provisions mentioned in paragraphs (b) and (c) below;

(b) in Schedule 3, paragraph 17; and

(c) in Schedule 4, the repeals in the Local Government Act 1972 .
