(1) This Order may be cited as the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 (Appointed Day No. 8) Order 1998.
(2) This Order extends to England and Wales only.

Section 2
1st April 1998 is hereby appointed for the purposes of section 45 of the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996 insofar as that section relates to notices of transfer served under section 53 of the Criminal Justice Act 1991 .
