Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Designation) (Variation) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 1st May 1998.

Section 2

(1) The Misuse of Drugs (Designation) Order 1986 shall be varied as follows.

(2) In paragraph 1(a) of Part I to the Schedule, there shall be inserted—

(a) after the word “Eticyclidine”, the word “Etryptamine”; and

(b) after the word “Mescaline”, the word “Methcathinone”.
