Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Lifespan Health Care Cambridge National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1998 and shall come into force on 2nd April 1998.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

For Article 3 of the Lifespan Health Care Cambridge National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1992 there shall be substituted the following Article:—

Nature and functions of the trust

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions shall be—

(a) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act the Community Health Services Unit, Chesterton Hospital, Union Lane, Cambridge CB4 1PT and associated hospitals, establishments or facilities, and there to provide hospital accommodation and services and community health services; and

(b) to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act Quy Water Farm, Newmarket Road, Fen Ditton, Cambridge CB1 5AT and there to provide community health services.
