(1) This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic Act 1991 (Commencement No. 15 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1998.
(2) In this Order—
“the 1991 Act ” means the Road Traffic Act 1991; and
“the appointed day” means the 10th day of April 1998.

(1) This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic Act 1991 (Commencement No. 15 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1998.
(2) In this Order—
“the 1991 Act ” means the Road Traffic Act 1991; and
“the appointed day” means the 10th day of April 1998.
(1) The following provisions of the 1991 Act shall come into force on the appointed day—
(a) section 81, to the extent necessary for bringing into force the provisions of paragraphs 6 and 12 of Schedule 7; and
(b) paragraphs 6 and 12 of Schedule 7.
(2) The following provisions of the 1991 Act shall come into force on the appointed day to the extent that they are not already in force—
(a) section 67(4);
(b) section 68(2)(b);
(c) section 69.
The provisions of Orders mentioned in the Schedule to this Order, being provisions which are now spent or have become spent in consequence of the making of this Order, are hereby revoked to the extent specified in column (3) of the Schedule with effect from the appointed day.
