Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 (School Playing Fields) (Modification) (England) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 1st February 1999.

Section 2Modification of section 77 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998
Until Schedule 22 to the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 comes into force, section 77(2)(b) of that Act shall have effect with the modification that for “either of paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 22” there shall be substituted “section 231(7) of the Education Act 1996 ”.
