Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Highway Litter Clearance and Cleaning (Transfer of Responsibilities) (North West Leicestershire and South Derbyshire) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 26th April 1999.

Section 2 Transfer of duties of the Secretary of State

There shall be transferred to the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions from each local authority listed in column 1 of the Schedule to this Order the responsibility for the discharge of the duties imposed by section 89 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 as respects the part of the highway specified in relation to that local authority in column 2 of that Schedule.
