Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 30th April 1999.

Section 2 Increase of allowance

(1) Regulation 17 (allowance in respect of conferences and meetings) of the Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) Regulations 1991 is amended, in paragraph (2), by the substitution of “£29.48” for “£28.62”.

(2) The amendment made by paragraph (1) aplies in relation to attendance at a conference or meeting on or after 30th April 1999.

Section 3 Revocation

The Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 are hereby revoked with effect from 30th April 1999.
