Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Southend Community Care Services National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1999 and shall come into force on 26th April 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

For Article 3 of the Southend Community Care Services National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1991 there shall be substituted the following Article:–

Nature and functions of the trust

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions shall be:–

(a) to own and manage, pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act, Community House, Union Lane, Rochford, Essex SS4 1RB and associated premises, and there and from there to provide and manage community health services;

(b) to provide and manage, pursuant to section 5(1)9b) of the Act, premises in Southend, Rochford and Basildon and there to provide hospital accommodation and services, and there and from there to provide and manage community health services.
