This Order may be cited as the South Birmingham Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1999 and shall come into force on 26th April 1999.

The South Birmingham Mental Health National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1999
(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.
(2) The trust’s functions shall be:–
(a) to own and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(a) of the Act, the Psychiatric Hospital, Queen Elizabeth Medical Centre, Mendelsohn Way, Off Vincent Drive, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 2QZ and associated hospitals (including its teaching and research facilities), and there to provide and manage hospital accommodation and services; and
(b) to own and manage pursuant to section (5)(1)(a) of the Act, premises at Vincent Drive, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 2TZ, and there and from there to provide and manage community health services; and
(c) to provide and manage pursuant to section (5)(1)(b) of the Act, a mental health resource centre at the Holec Building, Dogpool Lane, Stirchley, Birmingham, and there to provide community health services.
