Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Government of Wales Act 1998 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1999.

Section 2

The date of 1st February 1999 is appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Government of Wales Act 1998–

Section 111(1). (Welsh Administration Ombudsman).

Schedule 9 Part I and section 111(2) so far as relating thereto. (Welsh Administration Ombudsman—appointment, staff etc. ).

Schedule 12 paragraphs 1, 18, 19, 31 and 32, and section 125 so far as relating thereto. (Minor and consequential amendments).

Schedule 18 Part I in respect of the repeal in the Finance Act 1989 , and section 152 so far as relating thereto. (Repeals—Welsh Administration Ombudsman and Health Service Commissioner for Wales).
