The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (Commencement Order No. 6) Order 1999
The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 specified in article 4 below is 26th April 1999.
The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 specified in article 5 below is 1st October 1999.
The provisions referred to in article 2 above are–
(a) section 21(3) (regulations affecting the duty of providers of services to make adjustments)
(b) section 21(5) (regulations affecting th—e duty of providers of services to make adjustments).
The provisions referred to in article 3 above are–
(a) sections 14(2), 14(4) and 14(5) (meaning of discrimination in relation to trade organisations)
(b) section 15(1)(a) , and sections 15(2) to 15(10) (duty of trade organisations to make adjustments)
(c) section 19(1)(b) (discrimination in relation to goods, facilities and services)
(d) section 20(2) (meaning of “discrimination”)
(e) section 20(5) (costs disregard)
(f) section 20(9) (meaning of “treatment”)
(g) sections 21(1), 21(2)(d), 21(4), 21(6) and 21(10) (duty of providers of services to make adjustments).
