Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Luton and Dunstable Hospital National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Amendment Order 1999 and shall come into force on 3rd May 1999.

Section 2 Amendment of Establishment Order

For article 3 of the Luton and Dunstable Hospital National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1991 (nature and functions of the trust) there shall be substituted the following article:–

Nature and functions of the trust

(1) The trust is established for the purposes specified in section 5(1) of the Act.

(2) The trust’s functions shall be to provide and manage pursuant to section 5(1)(b) of the Act The Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Lewsey Road, Luton, Bedfordshire LU4 0DZ and associated premises in the area of Bedfordshire Health Authority, and there to provide hospital accommodation and services.
