Section 1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Broadcasting (Restrictions on the Holding of Licences) (Amendment) Order 1999 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2Amendment

Article 16 of the Broadcasting (Restrictions on the Holding of Licences) Order 1991 , shall be amended as follows:–
(1) for sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (1) there shall be substituted:–
(a) in the case of the Commission, licences to provide a Channel 3 service and a Channel 5 licence; and
(2) paragraphs (3), (4), and (5) shall be omitted.
