Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Fees) (Amendment) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 1st June 1999.

(2) In this Order–

(a) the “ 1998 Order ” means the Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages (Fees) Order 1998 ; and

(b) a reference to a numbered column is to the column in the Schedule to the 1998 Order bearing that number.

Section 2 Amendment of the 1998 Order

In the Schedule to the 1998 Order in the entry made in respect of the Social Security Administration Act 1992, section 124(3)–

(a) in column 3 at the end there is inserted “(iii) any other custodian of the register”; and

(b) in relation to that case in column (4) there is inserted the sum of “£6.50”.
