Section 1

These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (General) (Second Amendment) Regulations 1999 and shall come into force on 14th May 1999.

Section 2

The Air Navigation (General) Regulations 1993 shall be further amended by inserting after regulation 18 the following:
Airborne Collision Avoidance System
(18A) For the purposes of paragraph 4(5) of Schedule 5 to the Air Navigation (No. 2) Order 1995, the prescribed requirements for an airborne collision avoidance system shall be the requirements for ACAS II equipment set out in Volume 4 Chapter 4 of Annex 10 (first edition) to the Chicago Convention.
